Do you want to know the story of a legendary knight? His name is William Wallace. He was Scottish. He was born in 1270 in Ellerslie and died in August 1305 in London. He led his people against the occupation of the English under King Edward I of England. His role in the wars of independence of Scotland was so decisive for the fate of his country that his life took a legendary dimension.
William Wallace was a member of the lesser nobility and he took part in a lot of battles: the Battle of Stirling Bridge, the Battle of Falkirk and many others. He is a symbol of Scottish independence.
I like him because I love his rebellion and his desire to fight and succeed. And thank you, William, for the film Braveheart that tells the story of your life.
