    William Boog Leishman was born on November 6th 1865 in Glasgow.

    He was Scottish and he was a military doctor.

    He studied at Westminster School and at the University of Glasgow. He worked at the Royal Army Medical Corps.

    He served in India and he studied the typhoid fever and the kala azar.

    His father was a doctor too.

    William Leishman and his father were interested in medicine.

    He discovered the vaccine against typhoid and gave his name to leishmania, a parasite.

   He was a very good doctor.

   He died in 1926 in June.
