Once upon a time, on May 6th, 1953, a little boy was born in the capital city of Scotland. His name was Anthony Charles Lynton Blair, also known as Tony. A bright future was predicted for that child, and everybody already knew he was going to be brilliant. Born in a wealthy Scottish family, he was raised by his parents Leo and Hazel Blair in Durham, England. He first began his schooling in Adelaide, in Australia, then came back to the United Kingdom and studied in Durham, before returning to Scotland, for high school, in Edinburgh. After getting his bachelor's degree, he joined St John’s College in order to study law, following in his father’s footsteps.
Moreover, during his college years, he got an interest in music, and founded a rock band named Ugly Rumors with some of his friends. Future rock star? Not sure.
After getting his diploma, he was hired at Derry Irvine, as a lawyer, and there he met his future wife: Cherie Booth.
Tony and Cherie married in 1980 and had 4 children: three

Back
boys and a girl, they’ve stayed together since, and seriously, what a lovely couple they make!
Anyway, in 1975 he joined the Labour Party, and despite the failure of some of his initiatives, he always impressed the other members. In 1994, he finally became the Labour Leader, which was changed to New Labour. Being the head of the party, his first priority was education.
In 1997, Tony was eventually sworn 73rd Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Wow!
Opposing the Conservative Party, he introduced plenty of reforms in health and educational sectors, new rights for homosexuals, gave authorities more power which increased the number of punishable offences and made DNA recording obligatory, took several initiatives to reduce poverty and raise the number of social services in the UK. He also worked for environment and reduced about 20% of the carbone dioxide emissions.
Well, he seems to be the perfect man, and the perfect Prime Minister, doesn’t he? Maybe he really was. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end.
After 10 years of being Prime Minister, beating the record, and after all the changes, and the revolutions that he brought about, but owing to his approving and following of George W Bush concerning the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, his popularity obviously and rapidly dropped. He was accused of misleading the Parliament. He had to resign on May, 10th in 2007.
In spite of everything that happened at the end of his career, Tony Blair did many things for the United Kingdom, solved plenty of problems and made the kingdom’s economy grow considerably, and that’s why he’s such a special man.
