Joanne Kathleen Rowling is a 49 year old British writer.
She has lived for many years in Scotland and wrote all her "Harry Potter" books there.
This brilliant woman was born on July 31st, in 1965, in Gloucestershire, in England. Her parents are Anne and Peter Rowling, and she has one younger sister named Diane.
She had an unhappy and pretty difficult childhood because of the death of her mother and the bad relationship she had with her father.
During a train trip from Paris to London, Joanne had an idea which would prove exceptional: to write about a wizard called Harry Potter. This idea was the best idea she ever had, because when she published her first ‘Harry Potter’ book, it was an incredible success.‘Harry Potter’ soon became a global success, and the 7 books she wrote were all made into films.
To put it in a nutshell, J.K Rowling hasn’t only written a simple book, she gave hope to millions of young readers all around the world, and played an important part in our childhood.
This woman is my idol; the one who gave me a world that I could so easily make my own.
That’s the reason why I’ve written about her because she deserves not only to be read, but also to be thanked.
