James Hutton was a Scottish geologist, physician and naturalist. He was born on June 3rd in 1726 and died on March 26th in 1797 in Edinburgh.
He is known for his formulation of uniformitarianism and plutonism, of course, he was a genius!!!

He first studied medicine and law to finally turn to geology.
Finally, his theories concerning geology came to be included in theories which were called plutonism and things like that, you know!
Through observation and reasoned geological arguments, he came to believe that the earth was perpetually being formed, he recognized that the history of the earth may be determined by understanding how processes such as erosion work to the present day.  He is one of the first scientists to describe the Earth as a living system.

His thinking on natural selection influenced Charles Darwin in developing his theory of evolution.
   What a smart person!

He never had a wife, or children but he is called “The Father of Modern Geology”.
I've loved writing on this person because he's very intelligent and it’s very pleasant to read his biography.
